ZEvent starts in a few hours and it's already causing controversy

This weekend, the cream of French streaming will come together for a good cause. Friday, September 6, 2024 will mark the launch of a new edition of ZEventthe charity event initiated by Adrien Nougaret aka Zerator and Alexandre Dachary aka Dach in 2016. After a break last year, the big streamers meeting will be back with even greater scope. The basic concept is evolving to allow other creators to participate in the fundraising effort. The 100 French personalities with the most hours of viewing over the last 365 days have been selected to participate in the online ZEvent. No special treatment or invitation“for this attempt to extend the device”to all without limitspecified the official account.

Everyone should be able to get involved in charity work.this is the philosophy expounded by Zerator in an interview with AFP published yesterday. But this approach is far from being to everyone's taste. Since the publication of the list of 100 streamers on August 24, many Internet users have been outraged by the presence of streamers singled out for problematic behavior. Tensions between creators, cyberbullying and serious accusations: every year, the ZEvent is a source of controversy that sows discord among participants and spectators alike.

A lack of profile control?

The 2022 edition of ZEvent marked a real turning point for the event's reputation. Positions taken during this edition led some content creators to suffer waves of harassment, including Ultia who was widely hit by the behavior of some Internet users. The impact is still felt today as the streamer is accused of having blacklisted some of her colleagues.
