Lord of the Rings series is back with a more intense season (trailer)
The summer of 2024 is all about heroic fantasy. In recent weeks, HBO and Max have kept viewers on the edge of their seats with the broadcast of House of the Dragon. However, the second season of Rhaenyra Targaryen's misadventures was far from unanimous, so much so that fans of programs of the genre were left wanting more. Prime Video therefore arrives at just the right time with the imminent launch of Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power Season 2After a rather mixed first batch of episodes, the streaming giant intends to restore the reputation of its most ambitious production.
By taking viewers thousands of years before the events of Tolkien's books and Peter Jackson's films, the prequel series attempts to give shape to the most important legends of the Second Age. Unsurprisingly, such an expansion of the universe on our screens is not an easy thing to do, and the pace of the adventure has been widely criticized until now. The program is nevertheless preparing to enter the heart of the rise of Sauron, foreshadowing the importance of the next season. As we approach the release scheduled for August 29thPrime Video has taken care to share new extracts that are as exciting as they are reassuring.
An inevitable evil
The continuation of the Rings of Power is sure to be dramatic. Now that Sauron has officially returned, Lord of the Rings fans know that darkness and despair will now rule the coming events. This golden age of the antagonist will not spare the characters we got to know in the first season. Prime Video sets the tone by promising one of the most dangerous battles in Middle-earth:

If you are impatient to discover this season, know that the wait will not be very long. Indeed, the broadcaster has planned a grand launch for the end of the month. From August 29, Prime Video subscribers will be able to discover the first three chapters of this new batch of episodes.
