However, EA would not like neither create modernized versions of the following opuses, nor Dead Space 4.
Electronic Arts does not want to get involved in the production of Dead Space 4
A leak from last spring indicated that Motive Studios had abandoned development of a remake of Dead Space 2 due to insufficient sales of the first part in order to devote himself to the creation of the next Battlefield. EA spoke immediately to clarify that the creation of a possible Dead Space 2 Remake had never been on the agenda.
Sad news, knowing that Dead Space 4 should also not arrive on consoles and PC. In a recent interview with YouTuber Dan Allen, members of the original team of Dead SpaceGlen Schofield, Christopher Stone and Bret Robbins spoke of their desire to embark on the development of a new episode of the survival horror saga. Unfortunately, Electronic Arts was not really excited about the project.
“ We're not interested at the moment, we're enjoying it, blah blah blah. We respected their opinion. They know their numbers and the volume of games they need to ship », laments Glen Schofield, creator of Dead Space and of The Callisto Protocol at Visceral Games.
Christopher Stone regrets that decision-makers in the video game industry are reluctant to take risks at the moment. However, the two men have “several ideas” as to the direction to give to Dead Space 4. Unfortunately for fans, the future of the saga seems definitively at a standstill.
