After Dahmer, Netflix presents Monsters season 2

115 million views and a place in the historic Top 3, Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan have defied the odds with their “true crime” series Dahmer. In 2022, this retelling of Jeffrey Dahmer's story is presented as a limited series in ten episodes. Quickly, the audiences explode the counters, the series is mentioned many times on social networks. This story of heinous crimes will nevertheless make some teeth grind, even questioning the “true crime” genre and the appetite of the spectators. Netflix is ​​not discouraged however and quickly announces the start of work on a second batch of episodes. Dahmer becomes like this Monsters, Monsters in French, and will focus on different criminals each season.

In 2023, Netflix had presented the crime that would be at the epicenter of the story. The story of the Menendez brothers will be dedicated to ten new episodes. In 1989 in Beverly Hills, Jose and Mary “Kitty” Menendez are shot and killed in their home. Police suspicions quickly fell on their two sons: Lyle and ErikThe brothers spent lavishly on the family fortune, estimated at $14 million. The two heirs justified their act by sexual abuse allegedly perpetrated by their father. They were sentenced to life in prison and detained separately until 2018. They are now locked up in the Richard J. Donovan prison in Otay Mesa.

Who is in the cast?

The two brothers will be played by Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Crushed) and Cooper Koch (They/Them). Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevigny will be giving them the reply, they will lend their features to the two victims. Behind the scenes, Ian Brennan and Ryan Murphy are in creation. Paris Barclay will direct two episodes, we do not yet know who will take charge of the others. Andrea Cañizares-Fernandez, Tracey Silver and Tanya Clarke are among the many other names announced in the cast.

While the clip released by Netflix doesn't yet allow us to see everyone in action, it sets the tone. We see the two main characters in the dark, armed with their weapons, and advancing towards a luxurious home. A gunshot serves as a conclusion. The launch of Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez will take place in a few weeks. The appointment is made for the September 19th on Netflix.
